Pillon Pad
So you give your girlfriend some lexan, foam, suction cups, and some glue and tell her to make herself a seat. You don't give any direction on covering it. This is what you get.

Swampy Pete Fender Redo
So due to pressure from the girfriend, the shop vehicle need to be reconfigured to carry a passenger. So I ordered a new fender and came up with a plan....but....the fender didn't get made in the time it was supposed to. Soooo plan B went into effect. I had a bagger fender for a 21" wheel that I received in a pile of parts that came with the original frame for the bike. It was flourescent yellow, flamed and signed by a man calling himself "Swampy Pete". So as dumb and as time consuming as it was, I decided to make this fender work. Machined up some pegs and modified the swingarm to accept them too. See the following pictures for the results. Got the bike back together just in time to take the girlfriend for a ride to a local cruise night, so she is now happy. Paint and bodywork fun to come next week. Deepest apologies to Swampy Pete...wherever he may be.

Time to Cut Again
So for some reason local law enforcement isn't too fond of my license plate location. Today's project is to move the tag to the rear.

Repairing some damage done to a tank I painted around ten years ago this week. I think my style was a little different back in the day.

Tattoo Complete
So I broke out the color pencils for the first time in years and got some color onto my drawing. In comparison to what Jason at Living Canvas Tattoo was able to do with it, my sketch now looks like a kindergartener's drawing. I'm very happy with the way this turned out, and I can't wait to show my daughter Ayden.

Favorite Bikes - Evilact/Cherry's Company
What's my favorite bike of all time? I don't know. What I do know is I'm more partial to whats going on in Japan than whats going on over here in the USA. Here's one of my favorite bikes, built by Cherry's Company, for the clothing company Evilact . You can see more of this bike on another Japanese clothing company's blog called NAIL. Its a great mix of one off parts, parts from the past, and innovative ideas. Check it out.

Inspiration - Warren Lane
So while writing an article recently, I was reminded of who I was inspired by in the past in terms of building bikes. I would have to say that Warren Lane has had probably the biggest impact on my perspective of things. His ability to detail things no one would normally care about, and his use of parts he made instead of bolting on someone elses crap has always inspired me. Warren was quoted in the article as saying ‘If you know what you are doing, you are not learning!’ . I tend to consider myself as someone who is constantly learning also. Whenever I'm building I'm always trying to do something for the first time, and its through trying and making mistakes that I have learned the most. Recently, 45dgree.com did a two part article on him. You can check it out part one here , and part two here .

Tattoo Tuesday
Wouldn't it be great if every Tuesday you could get a tattoo? Well I wish I had the time and money to. Ayways, it's been an embarrasingly long time since I've been tattooed, so its time to get back to doing it. I had drawn this up a year ago, never did anything with them and honestly can't remember my thinking on placement. We will see what I can think of in the next few days to get my daughter's name finally put on me.
